Howes discusses his service in the Navy in World War II and return to active duty during the Korean War, including the Pearl harbor attack, USS Baldwin, CIC Officer, radar, the Normandy invasion, sinking a German E-boat, invasion of Southern France, CIC school, sent to Pacific Theatre, Sasebo, Japan, and China, Duty in Washington, D.C. during the Korean War.
