Scope and Contents
Ingram discusses his education at Harvard and as editor of the Harvard Crimson, his employment at The Boston Post, joining the US Navy, training at Quonset Point Naval Air Station as an Air Information Officer, assignment with Squadron VC-36 at Alameda NAS, with the USS Mission Bay, USS Croatan and USS Core; assignment at Squantum NAS, discharge from the Navy, and post war work with Eastern Gas and Fuel Company. Includes comments on naval training, his billet, and the squadron. Ingram was born in Boston, MA in 1915 and spent his youth in Cohasset, MA. He graduated from Harvard University in 1935 and joined the US Navy in 1942 as an air information officer. He was discharged in 1946 and worked for The Boston Post and the Eastern Gas and Fuel Company. He later served as president and CEO of the Cohasset Savings Bank.
