Letter from David B. Harmony to Stephen B. Luce regarding the detail of certain officers at NWC

Letter from D. B. Harmony, Acting Secretary of the Navy, to Commodore Stephen B. Luce in reply to a letter Luce sent requesting the detail of certain officers for temporary duty at the Naval War College. In response to Luce’s request, Harmony enclosed a copy of General Order No. 337 for Luce’s “information and future guidance.” This enclosure is not found with this letter.

Stapled to this letter is a note that states, “And Politician’s haven’t changed!!”
