Biographical Note
Born in New London, CT. Entered active service in July 1944 and completed U.S. Naval Reserve Midshipmen's School, Northampton, MA. Stationed at NAS, Pensacola, FL; NAS, Norfolk, VA; U.S. Naval Training School, Bronx, NY; and U.S. Naval Hospital, St. Albans, NY. Discharged as a LTJG in August 1946 in New York, NY. PhD from Michigan State University in 1951 in Biological Sciences. Taught at University of Rhode Island, Pennsylvania State University, and Boston University between 1951 and 1964. Served at the Naval Medical School, Bethesda, MD, as a Commander, USNR, from Oct 1964 to Jul 1971. Positions at Sheppard Air Force Base, Western Michigan University, and the Veterans Administration between 1971 and 1980s. Cited in 1975 editions of American Men of Science and Who's Who in America.
