This collection is comprised of 11 official Navy photographs showing Jewish activities, such as Hanukkah and Passover celebrations, held for Jewish military members and their families at the U.S. Naval Training Station, Newport, RI, 1942-1945. Also included is a program from their 1942 Hanukah service.

Immediate Source of Acquisition
These photographs were dropped off at the NWC Museum by Doris S. Greenberg of Riverside, RI in 2018. In February 2018, the NWC Collections Committee decided to transfer these photographs to the Naval Historical Collection.
