Scope and Contents From the Collection:

This collection consists primarily of lectures, student papers, and photographs that document Rogers’ experiences and research on Japan in the 1930s, and his command of the Seabees at Camp Endicott, Naval Construction Training Center, Davisville, R.I. during World War II. Of particular interest are his lectures and writings on the attempted coup d'état that occurred in Japan on February 26, 1936. Also included are four student papers that Rogers wrote while a student at the Naval War College.
