This collection is comprised of photographs, financial reports, curriculums, correspondence, minutes, and newspaper articles pertaining to Naval War College studies, events, buildings, and people. Subjects include the Surface War Officers School, Naval Education and Training Command, Naval Academy Preparatory School, Naval Science Insitute, Officer Candidate School, Vietnamese Officer Candidate School, Seabees, ship crew members, and Navy families. Events include change of command ceremonies, graduation ceremonies, foreign and domestic ship visits, holidays, and the Navy fleet’s departure from Newport in 1973. The folders “People and Events A-Z" encompass photographs of individuals associated with the Naval War College, organized by last name.
