Transcript of a lecture delivered by Professor Henri H. Marion, US Naval Academy at the Naval War College. This collection consists of correspondence, logbooks, photographs, publications, and other papers relating to the Sims and Hitchcock families, particularly Admiral William S. Sims, his wife Anne Hitchcock Sims, and her father Ethan Allen Hitchcock. These papers detail the families’ personal lives and relationships as well as the careers of Adm. Sims and Ethan Allen Hitchcock.

Also includes letters from Omoa, Honduras to Ludyah Robinson, esq. from May 27, 1832-May 30, 1832, a letter to Mrs. Hosmer from Stanford Robinson, June 3, 1832, and a letter from James Price to Ludyah Robinson, May 30, 1832 from Belize.
