Biographical Note
Graduated from Pawtucket School of Nursing, Pawtucket, RI in 1943. Enlisted in U. S. Navy Nurses Corps in 1944 and indoctrinated at U.S. Naval Hospital, Portsmouth, VA. Assigned to U. S. Naval Hospital, Newport, RI, Feb 1944 - Jun 1945; U. S. Naval Hospital Base #8, Pearl Harbor, HI, Jul 1945 - Nov 1945; U. S. Naval Hospital Base #21, Kwajalein, Marshall Islands, Dec 1945 - Jun 1946. Assumed nursing duties on the USS Ballou en route from Honolulu to Puerto Rico via Panama Canal, 1946. Discharged in New York, NY, Jun 1946.
