Wiley describes service in LST 126 in the Pacific Theater, including battles in the Marshall Islands, the invasion of Saipan, Tinian and Leyte Gulf, weather, general quarters, maneuvers, marines, accidents and near collisions, Japanese attacks, various islands, including Eniwetok, Tarawa, Namur, Hawaiian Islands, Kwajalein, Makin, and Tarawa and voyages from New Orleans, La., to Hawaii to the war zone and back.
